Care Quality Commission (CQC)

The CQC are the independent regulator of health and adult social care in England & Wales. The regulation ensures health and social care services provide people with safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care and encourage them to improve.

By law, all agencies that provide personal care to people in their own homes are responsible for making sure that the care they provide meets national regulation standards of quality and safety.

The CQC inspect agencies to ensure that they are meeting the national standards and can inspect an agency at any time if there are concerns about the care it provides. Inspections are almost always unannounced and if an agency isn’t meeting the correct standards, action may taken before a further inspection. Inspections are rigorous and allow for agencies to be reviewed independently. At Ascot Care we are always looking for ways to improve our care and this also allows for the opportunity to see where we can improve.
